Graphic design is in my blood.
I live and breathe it 24/7.
Even in the off hours from work, I can be found sitting at my computer designing something, be it a logo for a friend's new start-up company, stationery for my neighbor, hangtags for my sister's jewelry designs, on and on...
I originally went to college for an Art Education degree. Within the first semester, I realized that I was a better fit in the Graphic Design curriculum. My parents reluctantly allowed me to change majors. I, on the other hand, have never looked back.

The L-A-T Project
Take the Historic Architecture of our Nation's Capital,
Add a dash of Romance, a Snap of a Camera,
And you have Washington, DC as you've never seen it before.
All too often, Washington, DC has been photographed only as a cold monument town... just stone, columns, statues and many many steps. My aim with this project was to bring new life to these monuments, offering some historical background, but mostly a romantic, whimsical human touch. Washington, DC as you've never seen it before.
The project was inspired by the vision of a group of Victorian painters and specifically that of one of the most popular of the time, Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema (L-A-T).
My goal was to recreate the style, look and feel of those paintings in the contemporary medium of photography. Washington has an almost unlimited source of classical monumental structures, grand fountains and many picturesque settings, all perfect backdrops for this venture.
